You use your judgement, knowledge, and experience to solve everyday nursing challenges and make decisions. Youíre capable enough not to need permission or direction at every fork in the road. Youíre also willing to consult with others when their informed input is needed. Here, youíll have the opportunity youíve been wanting, to be valued for the experience in nursing youíve earned.

We need highly skilled and compassionate RNs to provide professional nursing care, utilizing knowledge of the nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, evaluate, and document care for our culturally diverse patients. Using your critical reasoning and clinical expertise, you will develop a plan of care for patients and their families; provide education and counseling; as well as assist in pre- and post-op care and procedures. In this multifaceted role, you will also:

  • Direct nursing staff and create a holistic, patient-centered care that goes beyond disease management
  • Complete triage assessments and participate in in-services and QA/QI activities

The ideal Staff Nurse has:

  • Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited college or university BSN highly preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of Acute Care experience and current New York State RN License
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that will include both day and night coverage
  • ACLS and BCLS certifications; MICU or Step-Down experience desired
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with computer proficiency
