Description: Nursing Unit Manager
Provide COVID ICU Direction in the 2E CVICU Department at WakeMed as a Nursing Unit Manager

As a Nursing Unit Manager, you have a 24-hour responsibility at the unit level for planning, facilitating, coordinating, and evaluating patient care services, personnel, and budgeting process. You must understand the needs of the organization and support the mission, values, and management of patient care services. You will have a voice at the decision-making table and are encouraged to take an active role in helping us improve the care we provide to our community. This role is in the 2E CVICU department which is currently our 20 bed COVID ICU.

Work Schedule:
• Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Education Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Required
• Master’s Degree in Nursing Preferred

Experience Requirements:
• 1 Year of Management Experience in a Direct Area of Responsibility and 2 Years of Nursing Experience in a Related Area Required

License/Certification Requirements:
• RN License Required
• National Certification in Nursing Required Within 1 Year of Hire
