Description: Nurse Manager, Emergency Room

We are looking for a skilled communicator who can effectively collaborate with physician leadership in the operational management of assigned nursing unit, to ensure high-quality patient care.

• Strategic planning for the department and high performance throughout the hospital
• Staff selection, management and development, including conducting orientations and performance reviews
• Assessing and ensuring competency and active license/certification status
• Preparing budgets and identifying variances
• Developing standards of practice to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and hospital policy

Qualifications: The ideal candidate has:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and NYS RN license
• Three to five years of progressively responsible leadership experience
• ACLS, BCLS and PALS training
• Capacity to multitask and meet deadlines
• Effective oral and written communication skills and computer proficiency
