Description: Manager APRN PA Regional Critical Care House Officer
Cleveland Clinic is currently seeking an Experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner for the APN/PA Manager of House Officer Positions currently working throughout our health system. This manager position would have direct oversight of the APN/PA House Officers in the Region. The successful applicant will have administrative duties, with a clinical expectation of floating to all hospitals the house officer team serves as needed. The candidate will be part of regional staffing at all locations as needed to ensure proper staffing. Duties include but are not limited to: Recruitment, Onboarding, Scheduling, and Direct Report Management. Clinical responsibilities include Rapid Response/ Code and stroke team leader, Patient Evaluations, Urgent Patient Management Procedures (Airway Mgt., Central lines, A-Lines, Chest Tubes, Difficult Peripheral IVs), & Additional responsibilities. All hires will go through an in-depth 4 month paid training program before they are expected to perform these procedures on their own. A minimum of 2 years of management experience and 5 years of Critical Care experience is preferred.

Responsible for the management of the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse/Physician Assistant practice within the institute. Provides liaison functions between Advance Practice Registered Nurse/Physician Assistant, staff physicians, administration, other departments and external groups. Communicates and collaborates with the Directors of APRN/PA services for updates in APRN/PA guidelines and policies. Attends in-services provided by Directors of APRN/PA services as required. Clinical supervision and annual review of the Advanced Practice Registered Nurses and Physician Assistants will be done by the supervising/collaborating physicians and the APRN/PA Manager, with input from the Institute Administrator.
