Description: Clinical Nurse Manager, Critical Care Services
Cooley Dickinson Hospital, an affiliate of Massachusetts General Hospital located in Northampton, Massachusetts, is currently seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager, Critical Care Services who is interested in working in a vibrant community in Western Massachusetts as part of a diverse, dynamic, and progressive team.

The Clinical Nurse Manager, Critical Care Services is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day operations of the departments that fall within Critical Care Services. The Clinical Nurse Manager organizes and directs the work of nursing units and programs, coordinates staff to assure that effective nursing services are provided and quality standards are met using a multidisciplinary team approach to care.

The Clinical Nurse Manager develops and maintains an environment that supports the professional nurse, nursing students, and staff. This position requires coordination with the educational program partnerships established with Cooley Dickinson Hospital and affiliating schools including partnerships creating Dedicated Education Units (DEU’s).

Position type: Full-time

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN);
• Masters in Nursing from an accredited school or matriculation;
• Clinical Nurse Leader certification preferred;
• Current Massachusetts licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN);
• Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years current clinical experience in critical care services;
• Experience with the development of a DEU or similar Nursing University / hospital based collaborative program preferred;
• Current experience with leadership, education, or nurse teacher development;
• Leadership skills and excellent clinical competence, including proficiency in nursing and improvement processes;
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, team building, collaboration, negotiation, problem solving, and oral and written communication skills required
