Description: Manager – PICU and Respiratory Care
Gillette Children’s Specialty Healthcare is looking for a strong strategic and operational leader to join our Beacon Award winning PICU team and Respiratory Care Department in St. Paul, MN.

This position provides department level leadership direction and support to implement the strategic and operational objectives of Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Respiratory Care Departments. The position has responsibility for ensuring the provision of high quality, safe care and achieving exemplary patient experiences while developing an engaged staff and provider group. This role will monitor overall practice performance, identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and improve patient experience, with a strong focus on standardization of workflow. Developing and introducing approved standards and guidelines for critical care and respiratory care services and programs is the responsibility of this role.

A successful candidate will have vast experience in leading inpatient operations and partnering with staff and providers to providing exceptional care and patient outcomes while building efficiencies within the health care delivery system.

This individual will be able to build effective relationships across the organization while leading efforts to define, prioritize and drive process improvement and service excellence.

Qualifications: Ideal candidates for this position will have:
• Master’s degree with a clinical or business focus obtained or in progress
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience relevant to the position
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in inpatient operations, formal leadership, supervisory or managerial role within a relevant clinical setting
• Demonstrate ability to initiate significant and complex process improvement initiatives that involve a number of stakeholders
• Demonstrate ability to work closely with physicians and clinical providers
• Financial and budget management experience; ability to analyze trends and changes in healthcare environment
• Management of human resources experience, including recruiting and retention, staffing and performance management
• Demonstrated managerial leadership including:
o Ability to design and execute new and significantly revised work flows and processes on time and within budget
o Ability to manage across function and service types with excellence in staff engagement, customer experience, and operational efficiency
o Ability to define, analyze and interpret business information needs to promote and sustain successful operations from customer experience, revenue cycle, and operational efficiency perspectives.
