Description: Clinical Practice Specialist, Conference Business (Onsite position, No telecommuting)

Position Purpose

The Clinical Practice Specialist leads the development, review and validation of acute and critical care nursing content for AACN’s products and services. This position works collaboratively with internal and external experts and stakeholders in the provision of innovative and cost effective products and services.

This CPS role will focus on:
Managing/leading NTI and API Program Committees before and during NTI – including frontline nurses, educators, APRNs, Managers, Academic Professors
Functioning as a project lead and clinical consultant to the logistics team
Ensuring the NTI schedule is balanced and educationally sound

This position is an onsite position and is NOT open for telecommuting.

Qualifications:

Skills Required

• Proven project management, with emphasis on planning, design, launch and evaluation of programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation/facilitation skills.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders including volunteers.
• Well organized and detail oriented with good follow through.
• Proven ability to develop and manage complex projects requiring innovative thinking that involves multiple stakeholders through to fruition.
• Keen interest in healthy work environments. Well-developed knowledge of AACN Healthy Work Environment (HWE) initiates and authentically role models the six essential HWE standards.

Education and/or Experience Required

• Master’s degree in Nursing; additional credentialing preferred.
• Eligible for RN licensure in the state of California.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in the creation of successful new initiatives that meet or exceed organizational objectives.
• Minimum of 7 years nursing experience/critical care preferred. Business experience is a plus.
