The nurse manager is responsible for overall quality of service and for planning, developing, organizing, integrating, and directing programs, staff, and budget in support of the purpose, mission, shared commitments and strategic priorities of EvergreenHealth.

Job Summary
Assumes 24-hour accountability and responsibility for area(s) assigned. Responsible for overall quality of service and for planning, developing, organizing, integrating, and directing programs, staff, and budget in support of the Purpose and Mission, Shared Commitment and Strategic Priorities of EvergreenHealth.

Primary Duties:
1. Facilitates patient care including organization and management within established policies, procedures, standards of care, budgetary parameters and strategic objectives
2. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care
3. Assesses and evaluates staffing patterns for proper utilization of personnel in relation to patient care required
4. Develops and monitors annual capital and operations budgets. Coordinates development and implementation of appropriate methods to monitor adherence to budgets and resolve variances
5. Develops and implements processes to manage human resource, materials, and finances within the established budget
6. Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications: License, Certification, Education or Experience:

REQUIRED for the position:
• Bachelor's in Nursing (BSN)
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
• Current Healthcare Provider BLS and ACLS certification by date of hire
• 3 years of experience in a management or leadership role in an inpatient care setting
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and JC regulations and requirements
• Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care
• Certification in clinical specialty (CCRN)  or leadership required within 18-month time frame if not already certified.
• Current Critical Care nursing patient care experience

DESIRED for the position:
• Master’s degree, may be other than Nursing if has a BSN
• Current nursing experience in Neurosurgical ICU
