Description: Director of Health Education Programs
Big Bend Community College invites applications for a Director of Health Education Programs. The Director of Health Education Programs provides leadership and direction for healthcare programs including the Nursing Assistant and the Associate Degree Nursing programs. The Director also oversees the Medical Assistant program and its health education support courses. This position reports to the Dean of Arts & Sciences.

Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
At the time of application, candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications:

An active, unencumbered Washington nursing license.
Master's degree in nursing (MSN) from an accredited college or university.
Five (5) years of experience as a registered nurse including two (2) years of experience in nursing education. The two (2) year requirement for experience in nursing education may be satisfied with ongoing educational consultation/mentoring during the first two (2) years of employment.
Experience working with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, ethnic backgrounds.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Curriculum development and administration experience.
Teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
Experience with specialized accreditation.
Bilingual English/Spanish proficiency.
