Cape Fear Valley Health System has retained Cejka Executive Search to conduct a national search to recruit a nurse leader to serve as their Critical Care Service Line Director.

Located an hour-and-a-half from the coast in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Cape Fear Valley Health System is the 8th largest health system in the state and serves more than a million patients. Cape Fear Valley Health System includes eight hospitals totaling 1,100-beds with Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, a 600-bed hospital, as the flagship facility, as well as over 7,500 employees and 850 physicians providing services to a six-county region in southeastern North Carolina.

The Critical Care Service Line Director will be an experienced nurse leader who promotes and fosters a culture committed to clinical excellence, service and patient safety. Critical Care Services includes the specialty units 3 North - Nephrology and 4 South - Stroke; 30-bed ICU; and two progressive care or step-down units with a total of over 300 FTEs. The Critical Care Service Line Director will provide executive, administrative and management responsibility and will lead business and clinical initiatives to improve all medical-related activities to facilitate seamless patient continuum and promoting cost-efficient and quality services. The Critical Care Service Line Director will partner with designated Medical Directors to advance clinical practices, financial performance, and strategic initiatives to enhance quality, performance, and service and market leadership.

Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have progressive management experience with responsibility for operational, financial and clinical services of an inpatient unit; prior critical care experience is preferred. Expertise in physician engagement; staff development; process improvement relating to quality, safety and patient care; and financial management are required. A bachelorís degree is nursing is required, and a masterís degree is preferred.
