Longwood University, a historic public liberal arts institution and host of the 2016 U.S. Vice Presidential Debate, invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position in Nursing (#F0349) to begin August, 2019.

The successful candidate will teach courses in a four-year pre-licensure BSN program and/or post licensure RN-BSN program. Responsibilities will also include classroom and direct clinical/lab instruction, curriculum development and evaluation, academic advising, scholarly activity, and service to the department and university. Professional competence must be maintained through activities such as clinical nursing practice, continuing education programs, and participation in conferences, workshops, and/or seminars.

Qualifications: Requirements include a doctorate in nursing, either a PhD or DNP by the start of the Fall 2019 semester, eligibility for an unencumbered RN licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and current clinical expertise. The candidate should have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate a clear research agenda.
