Description: Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
Due to programmatic growth of our Hospitalist program, Guthrie's Robert Packer Hospital has openings for several Acute Care Nurse Practitioners. Alongside the admitting Hospitalist, the ACNP will function in a highly autonomous environment with responsibility for admissions and consultations. Must be comfortable with assessing and managing patients, including diagnostics and therapeutic interventions, as well as the as day-to-day implementation and evaluation of care plans.

Robert Packer Hospital is a 253 bed Regional Level II Trauma Center. The positions mirror the Hospitalist schedules of 7 days on, followed by 7 days off. Shifts are 11:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. or 12:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. Enhanced compensation of $125k and $15k signing bonus* offered!

Position type: Full-time

Qualifications: Must be a graduate of an accredited masters of nursing Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program and eligible for PA licensure and credentialing by the hospital board. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an advanced practice role is preferred. New graduates with relevant nursing background in critical care setting considered. ACLS certification, prescriptive authority and DEA required. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with ordering and interpreting labs and EKGs.
