Description: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
The Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD) seeks a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner with interest in child abuse pediatrics for our Child Advocacy and Protection Program (CAPP).

The nurse practitioner will:

•Provide consultations for a variety of clinicians, community professionals, and Child Advocacy Centers throughout New Hampshire and Vermont.
•Provide acute and non-acute physical assessments, treatment recommendations, and team communication for children and adolescents when there are questions of any type of child maltreatment.
•Work with the Director of the Child Advocacy and Protection Program to help educate medical students, residents, and other health care professionals on the extensive needs of this vulnerable population.

•An academic appointment at the level of Instructor at the Geisel School of Medicine.

About the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth (CHaD)

The Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock (CHaD) is New Hampshire's only comprehensive, full-service children's hospital and provides an extended system of care that offers advanced pediatric services including a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Pediatric and Adolescent Inpatient Unit, Intensive Care Nursery (ICN), 30 specialty clinics and the CHaD Kiwanis Pediatric Trauma Center.

Qualifications: Requirements include:

•Board certification as an NP or eligible with the ability for licensure in NH.
•Significant training and experience in Child Abuse Pediatrics.
•Completion of an approved training program in child abuse clinical skills will be required within 6 months of hire.
