Description: Director of Nursing – Cardiovascular Services
Florida Hospital Orlando seeks to hire a Director of Nursing who will embrace our mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ.

M-F; 8a-5p

The Director of Nursing is a registered professional nurse with comprehensive responsibility for the assessment, problem identification, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and coordination of all processes which impact the quality and quantity of care delivered to the patients of specific age groups identified by the standards of care.

Qualifications: Requirements:
• Current, valid Florida State Board of Nursing registered professional nurse license
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science degree in Nursing (MSN) required at time of hire
• Minimum two years progressive management experience
• Minimum of five years’ experience in nursing with two years’ experience in leadership roles in a comparable health care entity (preferred)
• Experience in the clinical setting related to area(s) of specialty (preferred)
• National certification in nursing specialty (preferred)
• Demonstrates a broad clinical nursing knowledge
• Demonstrates competency in personal leadership abilities
• Demonstrates the ability to develop and mentor others to their optimum levels of skill and professionalism
• Demonstrates business and human resource skills as they relate to assigned areas of service
• Demonstrates competency in regards to communication and relationship building
• Demonstrates the ability to include evidence-based practice standards for care delivery in their area of specialty
• Is a role model for professionalism
