Description: Nurse Practitioner: Critical Care
St. Peters Health Partners Medical Associates, P.C., is seeking Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants for night inpatient critical care work at our system intensive care units. These are exciting opportunities to join an established and respected team of providers with strong patient demand. Pulmonary & Critical Care Services, located in Albany and Troy, NY, is a highly regarded group of 15+ physicians and advanced practitioners. They have full time night shift only positions available for both open and closed critical care units. The group practices in our system hospitals, including the newly opened state-of-the-art, 24 bed, ICU at Samaritan Hospital in Troy and the recently remodeled 19 bed unit at St. Peter’s Hospital. Flexible scheduling will be available for these night roles.

The onsite critical care advanced practice provider will be a part of the tele-ICU program, which entails working with both tele-intensivists and onsite physicians. The roles will complete new patient consults and/or ER admissions, present information to and collaborate with the tele-intensivist, create consult notes (or admission notes) after discussion with the tele-intensivist, and will occasionally be asked to assist in managing emergencies in the critical care units with the aid of onsite physicians. Central venous catheter placement may also be required.

Qualifications: REQUIREMENTS: Applicants should have the following:

• Board Certified. NYS licensure and DEA required. ACLS/BLS
• Previous experience in a critical care setting is preferred
• Candidates must have with the availability to work nights & weekends
• An excellent 6 month training program, in conjunction with our Hospitalist program, is available for new graduates as well
• Must have demonstrated competence in the ion of central venous catheters
