Description: CORE FACULTY, COLLEGE OF NURSING PROGRAM – ST AUGUSTINE, FL
The University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (USAHS) seeks a dynamic, innovative faculty member for a full-time (FT) position in the nursing programs. Responsibilities will include teaching activities primarily in the Master of Science in Nursing program, the Family Nurse Practice role specialty courses, and the Doctor of Nurse Practice program.

A core faculty member at the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences (USAHS) provides engaging clinically-focused learning opportunities for students in the health science professions, through face-to-face, blended, and online delivery methods. The faculty member is responsible for academic advising and overseeing final program projects. They provide service to the University through committee, curriculum improvement, and advocacy for the profession. The faculty are scholars, being involved in building and integrating knowledge for advancement of the profession and the University.

Position type: Full-time

Qualifications: Candidate’s Background Requirements:
• A terminal degree in nursing (PhD or DNP)
• Active and unencumbered RN license
• A significant record of intellectual and professional contributions to the field of nursing, including experience in the practice of education and nursing.
• Three to five years of teaching experience at doctoral level of the program
• Experience with distance learning
Travel:
Travel is an expectation and requirement of this position. Site visits to clinical and doctoral residency locations is often required to assess the suitability of the site and to monitor student’s performance.
