Company: Johns Hopkins Hospital Nursing - The Johns Hopkins PICU is a 40-bed, state of the art, medical-surgical intensive care unit that cares for pediatric patients from newborns to 22 years of age with multiple diagnoses: cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, general pediatric surgery, transplants, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), oncology, and multisystem failure.

The Johns Hopkins Children’s Center is a 205-bed hospital-within-a-hospital and is the Level One Trauma Center for Pediatric Trauma patients and the Pediatric Burn Center for the state of Maryland. All PICU patients are medically managed by the PICU service with 24/7 in-house provider coverage.

Johns Hopkins Hospital Nursing is seeking a Nurse Manager for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
• Provides leadership to achieve unit, departmental, and institutional objectives within a rapidly changing environment.
• Applies advanced knowledge of nursing and management to manage systems of patient care, personnel development, fiscal and unit operations, performance improvement, and program development.
• Promotes innovation and excellence in clinical, service, and team performance.

Qualifications: Requirements:
• Master of Science or Doctorate degree in nursing from an accredited school of Nursing
• Maryland RN license
• Experience should include 3-5 years’ leadership and/or management responsibilities
• 5 years’ related experience in pediatrics (med/surg or ICU preferred)
