Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia, a tertiary care teaching hospital with a Level One Trauma center is seeking new and experienced nurses to join our Step-down Units.

The Step-down Units consist of 3 units: Surgical Step-down Unit (SSU), Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Neurosciences Unit (NSU). In this role you will be responsible for:
Defines, plans, implements, and monitors patient care delivery, fiscal management, human resource management and departmental operations for defined care areas(s)
Takes a leadership role in developing policy and standards for patient care services
This position requires providing service to the following age population(s): all, in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served

If you possess the following qualifications, please apply immediately:
BSN required
MSN preferred
Five years clinical experience in area of unit specialty
Telemetry experience required, Cardiac experience preferred
A minimum of two years management/administrative/leadership in a nursing role required
Experience in nursing management preferred
Previous fiscal and supervisory experience required
Computer literacy (word processing, spreadsheet) required

Qualifications: Physical Demands:
Physical Requirements: Must be able to walk, sit, stand for long periods of time. Frequently lifts, pulls, pushes and moves various weights (patients and equipment). Requires manual dexterity for operating equipment and supplies
Visual Requirements: Must be able to see charts, read numbers from a distance, and read small print and have visual dexterity to work with computers.
Hearing Requirements: Must be able to complete assessments using a stethoscope, hear on the phone and hear general conversation
Working Conditions: Clinical floor
