Yale New Haven Hospital, Magnet recognized by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), has career opportunities for experienced Service Line Educators within our Children’s Emergency Department and Pediatric PICU/PACU Department.

The Service Line Educator develops, organizes, implements and evaluates Unite-Based and Service Line education and programs to ensure competencies of nursing personnel. S/he demonstrates knowledge of the American Nurses Association Standards for Nursing Professional Development – using multiple approaches and sources of information to identify and validate nursing service personnel's learning needs. The Service Line Educator conducts learning needs assessments regularly to identify organizational, departmental and units’ education and practice needs. S/he identifies organizational, service line and external agency requirements for documentation and record keeping. The Service Line Educator integrates nursing performance indicators in education activities. S/he will perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree is required; Master's preferred (One degree must be in nursing.)
• Two years of clinical nurse experience and a minimum of 1 year leadership/supervisory experience (this may include committees, charge role, project management or other experiences that demonstrate leadership qualities.)
• Current CT state RN licensure and/or eligibility for CT state RN licensure.
• Specialty certification preferred or willing to obtain within 18 months of hire.
• Ability to direct a diverse work force in a 24 hour per day operational environment.
• Passion for leading others in a challenging and changing environment by utilizing innovation, technology, and best practices.
